IT Services and IT Support for Calgary Businesses
Managed, on-demand, or somewhere in between. No long-term contract either way.
Your team can’t work when the systems are down, and most IT problems give warning signs long before they stop anything.
EezIT provides IT services and IT support for Calgary businesses, from a single workstation to a full office network. We monitor your systems, patch them, back them up, and answer the phone when you call. Coverage is a monthly fee based on how many people and systems you’re running, quoted before you commit, with no long-term contract.
If you’d rather call only when something breaks, our On-Demand IT Support works that way instead.

What Are Managed IT Services?
Managed IT means we watch your systems instead of waiting for you to call. Monitoring runs in the background, updates and patches go out on a schedule, backups get verified, and someone picks up the phone when you need them.
The difference is timing. Most of what takes an office offline gives warning first: a drive reporting errors, a server running out of space, a certificate about to expire. Catching those is cheaper and a lot quieter than fixing the outage they cause.
You’re not locked in. Coverage is a monthly fee based on how many people and systems we’re looking after, and we scope it with you before anything starts. If monthly stops making sense you can move to calling us only when something breaks, at our flat business hourly rate.
What’s Included in Managed IT Support Services
Business Network Setup & Optimization
Slow connections and Wi-Fi that drops in the same corner of the office usually aren’t your internet provider’s fault. More often it’s the network itself: a consumer router doing a commercial job, a switch that’s run out of ports, or everything sitting on one flat network with no separation.
We map what you’ve got, then rebuild it on purpose. Routers and switches configured deliberately, VLANs that keep staff traffic, guest Wi-Fi, servers, and VoIP out of each other’s way, and cabling someone can still trace in two years.
That works for a six-person office or a multi-floor building. If you need the physical install, the cabling, access points, and the rest, that’s network installation Calgary.
Firewall Configuration & VLAN Design
A firewall that was set up once and never reviewed is a firewall you’re trusting on faith. What we find most often is default rules still in place, port forwards nobody remembers opening, and no separation between the point of sale and the guest Wi-Fi.
We configure business-grade firewalls with rules that match how your office actually works, then use VLANs to separate the things that should never see each other. Staff devices, guest access, servers, VoIP, and anything with a camera or a reader on it.
You get a written record of what’s open, what’s closed, and the reason for each. Nothing about your own network should be a mystery to you.
Endpoint Monitoring & Patch Management
One workstation that stopped accepting updates eight months ago is enough to cause a problem for everyone. The trouble is you’d have no way of knowing, because nothing looks wrong until it is.
We put monitoring on every machine so we can see update status, disk health, and whether a component is starting to fail. Patches go out on a schedule that doesn’t interrupt your staff mid-task, and we test them before they roll out widely.
When a drive starts reporting errors you hear about it while the data is still readable. If one has already gone, that’s data recovery Calgary, and the sooner the machine stops being used the better your odds.
Secure WiFi Deployment
Most office Wi-Fi problems come down to placement. Access points installed where there happened to be a power outlet rather than where people sit, too few of them for the floor space, or all of them competing for the same channel.
We walk the space and check what’s blocking signal: concrete, glass, elevator shafts, the kitchen. Then we work out how many access points you need and where they go, and split the network so guests, staff, and equipment sit on separate SSIDs with separate rules.
The result is Wi-Fi that works in the boardroom and the back corner, and a guest network that can’t reach your file server.
Backup & Recovery Planning
A backup you’ve never restored from isn’t a backup, it’s a hope. The two failures we see most are backups that quietly stopped running months ago, and backups that run fine but can’t actually be restored when you need them.
We set up layered protection: local copies for speed, cloud copies for everything else, covering servers, workstations, and Microsoft 365 data. Then we test a restore, so you know how long it takes and exactly what comes back.
You’ll have it in writing too. What’s backed up, how often, how far back you can reach, and the recovery steps if the building floods. For Exchange and SharePoint specifically, see Microsoft 365 support Calgary.
Cybersecurity Hardening
Most breaches at small businesses aren’t sophisticated. Someone reused a password, or clicked a link in an email that looked like it came from a supplier, and multi-factor wasn’t turned on.
So we work through the basics properly. Multi-factor authentication on everything that supports it, admin rights stripped from accounts that don’t need them, endpoint protection that actually reports back, and email filtering tuned to your domain rather than left on defaults.
We’ll tell you plainly where you’re exposed and what it costs to close each gap, so you can decide what’s worth doing now and what can wait. If something has already got in, that’s virus removal Calgary, and we treat it as urgent.

Calgary Managed IT Support Frequently Asked Questions
Questions we get from Calgary businesses before a first visit. If yours isn’t below, ask us. You can call, or send a message through our contact page.
What is included in managed IT support?
Monitoring on your servers and workstations, operating system and software patching, backup setup and verification, endpoint security, and support when something breaks. We scope it to what you are actually running rather than selling fixed tiers, and you see the price for each piece before you agree to it.
Do you offer 24/7 support for businesses?
Monitoring runs continuously, so overnight and weekend failures get recorded whether or not anyone is in the office. Our staffed hours are 9am to 9pm, seven days a week, and that is when we act on what the monitoring flags. If your operation needs a guaranteed after-hours response, tell us and we will arrange it and price it up front.
Do I get on-site support?
Yes. Anything that needs hands on the hardware, we come to you, across Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere, Okotoks, and High River. Smaller issues we can often sort remotely within the hour, which is usually faster for you. We tell you which one a problem needs.
Why would my business need managed IT instead of calling when something breaks?
If you can afford a day of downtime while someone diagnoses from scratch, on-demand is cheaper and we are happy to work that way. Managed makes sense when downtime costs you real money, when you have more machines than anyone is tracking, or when you need the person answering to already know your setup.
What happens if something breaks outside business hours?
Monitoring alerts us whether or not you call. Leave a message or send an email and we pick it up when we are back on at 9am. If an after-hours response matters to your operation, tell us and we will set it up and price it before you commit.

We needed a much more skilled service provider to install equipment and improve WiFi through our home. Chip was exceptionally professional and patient, working with Rogers technical to work out the install and set up. Incredible difference after the work. Thanks Chip. Chip was a wealth of knowledge. We called him to resolve a simple printing issue, but we ended up having him fix a miriad of other issues such as our network slowdown and upgrading an older system we had kicking around.Posted on Google![]()

Fantastic in-home service. Chip brought new life to our two old, failing computers. We thought we would have to get new computers since Microsoft told us we couldn't upgrade them to Windows 11 but Chip installed a new component into each of them and installed Windows 11. He also put a new battery in my 8-year old Dell laptop. Both computers are running like new. Thanks Chip!Posted on Google![]()
